A Healthy Peanut Butter Mood Smoothie

I am obsessed with the Peanut Butter Mood Smoothie at Jamba Juice, but my waistline shouldn’t be.  So I wanted to try to make this smoothie at home, but lighten it up a bit! Having two kids under two, I am constantly whipping up fast and easy smoothies in the morning before heading out with the kids… somedays it is the only way I get anything in my stomach! Being out and about with two kids, I need all the energy I can get from protein which is why i love this smoothie… plus I add some greens to it (I swear you cannot taste them)!

A Healthy Peanut Butter Mood Smoothie, with spinach!


  • 8 oz milk (I use almond milk for a non-dairy version)
  • 1 serving chocolate protein powder
  • 1 banana
  • 10 ice cubes
  • 1 TBSP of creamy Peanut Butter (you can use almond butter if you prefer)
  • 1 handful spinach or kale (I promise you won’t taste it over the peanut butter!)

This is my favorite chocolate protein powder, its specifically made for women and ships free from Amazon (with Prime)

*Tip – freeze your spinach or kale in individual baggies to save time in the mornings

Add all ingredients in blender in the order listed and blend away. This smoothie makes a great post workout shake too.

Yummmy!  Now I am all ready for my super busy day ahead with the kids!!
